In a series that saw the Phillies pitching staff struggle for the first time all year, the Phils were unable to pull out a win against the NL West leading Dodgers. Los Angeles swept the weekend series, as the Phils get a much needed day off and look to regroup and return to form tonight against the Colorado Rockies.
The Phillies have now lost four straight games. This losing streak comes right after the team won six in a row and appeared to be headed in the right direction. If the Phils want to continue to contend this year, they need to put an end to this streak soon and keep their hold on the National League East.
